Pelvic Health Screening Day

Do you leak when you jump, sneeze, or cough? Do you feel a sensation of heaviness in your pelvic area?

Are you trying to heal a diastasis recti and questioning what movements are safe for you?

Dr. Carlin Reaume, OTD, OTR/L is a licensed occupational therapist who specializes in perinatal wellness and pelvic health. She will be offering a day of reduced rate screening appointments for the Root community.

These 30-minute sessions provide an opportunity to begin addressing your pelvic health concerns. While not full evaluations, they are designed to focus on your top priorities and offer initial guidance. If appropriate and with your consent, you will have the opportunity to undress from the waist down, so a visual assessment of your pelvic floor muscles can be performed. You will also have the option of an internal assessment of pelvic floor muscles, which involves the gentle insertion of a lubricated, gloved finger into the vaginal opening. These appointments are intended to create a safe and supportive space for you to ask questions, express concerns, and take the first step toward improving your pelvic health.

You are welcome to bring a support person to the appointment, if you would like. You are also welcome to bring your baby!

  • Appointments will be 30 minutes long and cost $89 and are located on the “Appointments” tab of Wellness Living.

  • 24 Hour Cancellation Policy - because these appointments are super limited and we anticipate selling out - there will be a 24-Hour cancellation policy for all appointments.

  • If the appointments are full and you would like to get on the waitlist email admin@sacroot.com

  • Once you register for a time slot via Wellness Living, you will get a confirmation email with a link to a google form to fill out so that Carlin can better prepare for your appointment.

These appointments take place at Dr. Carlin’s office on H Street & Alhambra Blvd NOT at The Root studio.
