Pelvic Health Screening Day

Do you leak when you jump, sneeze, or cough? Do you feel a sensation of heaviness in your pelvic area?

Are you trying to heal a diastasis recti and questioning what movements are safe for you?

Dr. Carlin Reaume, OTD, OTR/L is a licensed occupational therapist who specializes in perinatal wellness and pelvic health. She will be offering a day of reduced rate screening appointments for the Root community.

The appointment will begin with a conversation to learn more about your specific pelvic health concerns. This will be followed by a brief screen of your posture, breathing mechanics, and core activation. If you would like, you will have the opportunity to undress from the waist down, so a visual assessment of your pelvic floor muscles can be performed. You will also have the option of an internal assessment of pelvic floor muscles, which involves inserting a lubricated, gloved finger into the vaginal opening. These screening appointments are an opportunity for you to start addressing your personal pelvic health concerns and to have your questions answered.

You are welcome to bring a support person to the appointment, if you would like. You are also welcome to bring your baby!

Additional Information and Signing Up:

  • Upcoming Dates: Friday, February 9th and March 8th (Time slots from 10am-3pm)

  • Appointments will be 45 minutes long and cost $100 and are located on the “Privates” tab of Wellness Living.

  • Members receive a discount - check your email for that code or reach out to admin@sacroot.com

  • 24 Hour Cancellation Policy - because these appointments are super limited and we anticipate selling out - there will be a 24-Hour cancellation policy for all appointments.

  • If the appointments are full and you would like to get on the waitlist email admin@sacroot.com

  • Once you register for a time slot via Wellness Living, you will get a confirmation email with a link to a google form to fill out so that Carlin can better prepare for your appointment.

These appointments take place at Dr. Carlin’s office on H Street & Alhambra Blvd NOT at The Root studio.
