Babies: Your Postpartum Journey
You’ve done all of the prep prenatally. You took the yoga classes, the childbirth classes, now your little peanut is here and you are looking for community, support and a little endorphins as you ease your way back into exercise. You’ve come to the right place! We have a variety of classes and support groups support your postpartum experience.
Baby & Me Yoga
Come enjoy a gentle 50-minute* Vinyasa Flow / Yin combo class designed to strengthen your body and calm your mind as you find your way back into a yoga practice in the postpartum period. (No previous yoga experience necessary!) Babies will be occasionally incorporated into poses as temperament allows. This class is appropriate for moms/birthing persons who have been cleared for exercise by their midwife/doctor (usually around 4-6 weeks postpartum) up until newly crawling. The class is also open to any dad, parent or other caregiver. *Postpartum classes are 50-minutes long to account for introductions, latecomers and cool down that happens within the hour period.
Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am
This action packed 50-minute* postpartum exercise class targets all of the body's muscle groups with a focus on safe and effective core work geared towards postpartum moms/birthing persons. Babies are of course Welcome!! This class will use free weights, bender balls, resistance bands, gliders, pilates rings, Roos Wraps and some basic yoga strengthening to help you feel your best post-baby. This class is appropriate for moms/birthing persons who have been cleared for exercise by their midwife/doctor (usually around 4-6 weeks postpartum) up until newly crawling. *Postpartum classes are 50-minutes long to account for introductions, latecomers and cool down that happens within the hour period.
This new postpartum class will include 15 min of Sun Salutations and Vinyasa Flow to warm the body, followed by 15 min of Hypopressive and core and pelvis stabilizing exercises, 20 min of weights for strengthening isolated muscle groups and a 10 min stretch/cool down at the end. Geared towards those who can't make the weekday morning classes, and also called our "Get Happy" Hour - fussy babies are totally welcome!
This 60 min class is YOUR time. A time to strengthen your body, calm your mind and unwind with a combination of vinyasa flow and lengthening Yin poses and an extra long Savasana. This class is baby-free and open to all. (Parents and non-parents alike, and modifications for prenatal and postpartum will be provided)
